    Hi Kriesi,

    Congrats on getting your support forum back up in such a short time. After plyaing with it for a week, I simply love the amount of options and customization available, it’s money well spent on this theme.

    Here are a couple of difficulties I encountered and need tour expert support:

    1) When I select the widgets for the main page on clean-cut, they appear in rows, one on top the other. Not in Columns as it should. What is the remedy?

    2) Also, widgets which I add, such as ‘recent comments’, and ‘tags’ to the sidebar in my blog pages have the little arrows on the left showing only half. Seems to be a formatting problem. How can I adjust this?

    3) I’m unable to show the widgets I want on the Portfolio Single Pages, they appear the same as those i set for my blog pages. I wid like to show different widgets on the portfolio single pages. There is no option to do that. Intried adding widgets in ‘Sidebar Pages’, ‘Portfolio’, and ‘Sidbar Blog’ but no joy. Choosing widgets under portfolio has no effect as the main portfolio pages does not cater for widgets, but the portfolio single page does, how do I differentiate it from blog pages? I have already enabled specific widget areas for specific pages in the clean-cut options, and have gone to the widget page to add them, but none is showing in the Portfolio Single Page, they are showing what I added for my blog pages.

    Could you help?

    Many Thanks.

    1.) Please try to add the following to your style.css file, it seems to be lacking 2 rules:

    change line 104 to read:

    .one_fourth, .box_small{overflow:hidden; float:left; position: relative; font-size:12px; line-height:1.7em; margin-right:23px; width:137px;}

    and line 111 to read

    .fullwidth .one_fourth, .fullwidth .box_small{width:210px;}

    2.) adding this anywhere to style.css should fix the problem:

    #top .sidebar .box .recentcomments a, #top .sidebar .widget_tag_cloud a{
    background:transparent none;

    3.) The Problem here is that the portfolio and blog pages share a template file and therefore its hard for wordpress to make a difference between those posts. The only possible solution I can think of is to edit the theme code. add this to widgets.php after line 38:

    'name' => 'Sidebar Portfolio',
    'before_widget' => '<div id="%1$s" class="box_small box widget %2$s">',
    'after_widget' => '</div>',
    'before_title' => '<h3 class="widgettitle">',
    'after_title' => '</h3>',

    then open the single.php file and change at line 88:

    $k_option = 'blog';

    to read:

    $k_option = 'blog';
    if( get_post_type() == 'portfolio' ) $k_option = 'portfolio';

    last you need to open sidebar.php and add this to line 24:

    // general pages sidebars
    if ($k_option == 'portfolio' && dynamic_sidebar('Sidebar Portfolio') ) : $default_sidebar = false; endif;

    Hi Kriesi,

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    For 3) WORKS Great!!!

    1) Doesn’t seem to work. Please see snap shot of my mainpage, it is still in rows, one on top of another. I have changed the code as per your advise.

    <img src=”http://i929.photobucket.com/albums/ad135/Tran_quillity/mainpage.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”Cleancut”>

    2) Doesn’t work either for the sidebar arrows, now Recent Comments doesn’t have arrows at all :-(. I would like to use ‘Better Tag Cloud’ and ‘Most Commented’ widgets (3rd party) and tried it, but the formatting is the same as the original ‘Tag Cloud’ widget in wordpress.

    <img src=”http://i929.photobucket.com/albums/ad135/Tran_quillity/sidebarformating.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”Cleancut”>

    Pls advise, Thanks.

    ok another shot. try to also add:

    .portfolio .box{clear:none;}

    should solve problem 1

    for 2:

    to help with those I need to see the source code in a live previe. could you drop me a link? basically the arrow gets applied to all links by default and adding the links to the rule I listed above removes it.

    Hi Kriesi,

    my site is fotografity.com.

    I applied your code, now with 3 widgets on cloumn 1, 2, 3 and a text in cloumn 4 works. but with 4 columns with widegts selcted, the last one gets bumped below.

    pls see my site for problem 2.

    ok, if you add this it should finally work:

    #top .box4{

    to display the arrows correctly you might want to try adding this to style.css:

    .sidebar .box a {

    for the better tag widget use:

    #top .sidebar .widget_nktagcloud a{
    background:transparent none;

    Hi Kriesi,

    You’re a GENIUS!

    All works. It seems that there is no need for the last one (better tag cloud), the 2 fix cured it.

    Thank YOU!!!!! for your SUPERB support, I’m most greatful.
