I search the forum on this issue but could not find one like mine.

I created a variable product with two attributes (sizes, colors). The products are all the same price. I do not want to publish the product yet because I’m missing an image and other information. When I go to preview the draft product, my dropdown list is not working, if I publish the product my list is created. I changed the product status from publish to draft and again the list does not get generated.

The attribute is set to use for variations!

I have discussed this in the WooCommerce forum, but they think it’s theme related because when they select another theme, it works fine.

What is happening, because this should work.

Example product: Women’s M10 Jacket and the page link is:

    Hi Lyse,

So it only doesn’t work when the product is not actually live?

If I understand correctly, its purely a temporary issue that does not effect the actual live version of a product that is available publicly. If we are to look at your link for instance, it comes up as a 404 error since its not actually published for anyone to see unless logged in with sufficient rights.

    Hi Devin,

True, the products are in draft form only. But as I create them, I always preview to ensure all of the product elements are error-free and that the variations are correct. I even test adding to cart, etc.

    Hi Devin,

My client doesn’t want to put the draft products at this time, so I’m not going to worry about this issue now. If I come across this again, I will reopen at that time.

    Thanks for the prompt response.
