First of all, fantastic theme – I’ve used a number of your themes and they are all, without exception, amazing… I love ’em and so do my clients!!!
My most recent purchase is the BroadScope theme which I’m using for a client who needs some basic digital download shop functionality. As they don’t need the Portfolio section for it’s traditional purpose I thought I’d use it for the shop, as the category selector down the lefthand side is perfect for it.
Couple of questions:
1) Is it possible for me to remove the date and comments on the lefthand side when viewing a portfolio post? Ideally I’d like them to look like pages almost.
2) I’d like to be able to change the link from /portfolio to /shop – where will I need to make these adjustments?
That’s all for now… any help would be greatly appreciated (and I’ll undoubtedly be buying more Kriesi themes!!! :) )March 29, 2011 at 11:49 am #43244March 29, 2011 at 4:49 pm #43245
Nice idea to use the Portfolio as a Shop.
You’d need to modify the includes/loop-index.php file to use conditional tags around this code:
<span class='date-container'><?php the_time('d') ?><strong><?php the_time('M') ?></strong><?php the_time('Y') ?></span>
<span class='comment-container'><?php comments_popup_link("<strong>0</strong> ".__('Comments','avia_framework'), "<strong>1</strong> ".__('Comment' ,'avia_framework'),
in order to remove it from single portfolio pages. This won’t automatically correct the alignment (i.e. the left column where the date / coment count currently appear) and some careful tweaking of the stylesheet (taking advantage of the single-portfolio body class added to single portfolio pages) would be required to fix this.
