    The site I’m building with your template has static (pages) and dynamic (posts) content. I didn’t realize before installing it that I would not be able to have page content in the slider and second menu (which seems to be only for categorized posts.)

    I would really love to be able to structure the site the following way :

    – no first menu (taken care of, I took it out)

    – second menu for pages, by category (I can categorize pages thanks to the plugin “map categories to pages”)

    – accordion slider for a certain category of pages

    – content on main page below slider > posts (dynamic content)

    – archives of posts in the sidebar

    Is this possible? I know I’m asking a lot, but it would be tremendously helpful if you could help me figure it out.

    I suppose another option, if this is way too complicated a request, would be to

    1. take out the dates from all posts that are static content,

    2. exclude their categories from the archives,

    3. exclude their categories from the main page.

    Many thanks to who can help me with this… and sorry for being a pain.

    1) Your first request isn’t possible without some customization which is beyond the scope of this support forum.

    2) To remove the dates from post open up single.php and search for:

    <span class="date ie6fix"><?php the_time('M d, Y') ?></span>

    Delete this code.

    To exclude their categories from the mainpage open up index.php and search for:

    $negative_cats = preg_replace("!(d)+!","-${0}$0", $k_option['mainpage']['main_cat_final']);

    and change it to:

    $negative_cats = preg_replace("!(d)+!","-${0}$0", $k_option['mainpage']['main_cat_final']);
    $negative_cats .= -3, -6, -8;

    Instead of -3, -6, -8 use your category ids (write a minus before because we waant to exclude them).

    I’m not sure what you mean with archive? Do you mean the archive list or the archive pages?

    Thanks for your help, Dude ! A good friend of mine (and WP genius!) is helping me modify the code to have pages in the accordion slider and the second menu. If it doesn’t work I’ll make new templates without dates and exclude the categories – thanks again!

    Great – just post here if you need any help :)
