    Hi,
@jamieskinner00 Thank you for the FTP access, I renamed your current theme to “enfold-old” then I uploaded the new “enfold” and checked that your site is working correctly. Please also check for yourself.
Once you are happy you, (or I) can delete the “enfold-old” via ftp, (not the WP theme page)
Should for some reason you wish to roll-back to the old version, it’s easy to do, simply rename the new “enfold” to “enfold-new” via ftp and then rename “enfold-old” to “enfold” then refresh your page.
Your theme page says that twentyfifteen is a broken theme, which it is missing most of the files, I recommend deleting it. The rest of the site looks fine and I saw no errors in my quick scan, Please clear your browser cache and check.

    Best regards,
    Mike

I’ve updated 4 of my WP sites so far to 5.0.2, along with Enfold 4.5.2.
1 website appears to be running the new changes without issue. However, the other 3 are having problems with the editing of existing pages that are set in Advance Layout Builder mode. At first, when I go to edit the page, it returns completely blank. After refreshing and trying again, I then get a page with the new look. If I make an edit, the “updating” button either does not work or goes through an endless cycle of “updating” the page.
When I add the “Disable Gutenberg” plugin, it fixes the problem. However, I am hoping to be able to not have to use the “Disable Gutenberg” plugin in the near future so that I can adjust to the new WP layout without having to depend on old tech.

    Hi,
Is there a possibility that there is a plugin that is not working with Gutenberg? Enfold v4.5.2 has a built in option to use the classic editor, it’s at the bottom of the first theme option page, below the Maintenance Mode option

Thanks Mike. I will go that alternate route on the sites that are still having plugin issues.
One site, however, is now accepting the page “update” command after turning off and turning back on all of the plugins. It could have been some sort of residual thing or cache issue.
For others who are experiencing a similar issue, try toggling on/off your plugins and refreshing the page you are about to edit.

Hi Michael, thank you for the answer. However, I get stuck at point 5 Sign in to FTP or SFTP using FileZilla or any other tool which is able to do that. I don’t even know what FTP or SFTP is. Cn you help me with this?

    Best wishes, Anouk

    Hi,
@Anouk I will be happy to assist, this is what FTP is, but if you can give me access to your webhost I can assist in updating your theme by using the file manager in the cPanel. Please include add this webhost login in the Private Content area below.

    Hi,
@georgiamoon, I assume that you are using a pre 4.5 version, so due to the Envato API & the updater you will need to manually update the theme. The easiest way is to update via FTP, and if you choose to do that just Please don’t try to overwrite the theme folder with the new theme, as this will leave old files behind and cause errors. Please delete the old theme folder “enfold”, from within FTP, and then upload the new theme folder.
If you are not comfortable with FTP then you can (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -and-validating-personal-token/#post-1032609″>follow these steps to use a plugin to update.
After you update you will need to set up a new Envato Token as the old API has been discontinued, you will find (Purchase code hidden if logged out) /# (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -personal-token”>detailed instructions here.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
Nos complacerá ayudarlo, pero el inicio de sesión que nos proporcionó no funciona para el campo de inicio de sesión emergente adicional. Supongo que nos dio el inicio de sesión de WordPress, también incluya el otro inicio de sesión también.

We will be happy to assist, but the login you gave us is not working for the extra popup login field. I assume you gave us the WordPress login, please also include the other login too.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi martachevallard,

Thank you for the login, I took a look and see that you are using Enfold v4.4.1, but you need to update to Enfold v4.5.2 for it to work correctly with the newest WordPress.
This must be done with FTP, I will assist, but I need FTP login to do so.
Please include in the Private Content area.

    Best regards,
    Mike

We purchased Enfold – PSD Theme from Themeforest in 2014 from this webpage
    https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-psd-/5189320?WT.oss_phrase=enfold&WT.oss_rank=1&WT.z_author=Kriesi&WT.ac=search_thumb

Our website has been update to WP 5 by our hosting provider. Since then we are having some problems with the site. We would like to update the website but couldn’t find any download for updates for this Theme. Please let us know where to get the updates for Enfold – PSD Theme from Themeforest.
    Thank you, Claudia

    #1052945

    Hi,
@mocablue are you sure that you only bought the PSD files and not the theme? Because the theme comes with a builder and installs into WordPress, but the PSD is only some PhotoShop files that won’t be a website unless you are a developer and code it into a WordPress website.
The PSD files have never been updated, because that are only images.
If you bought the theme you should be able to download the up date from your Theme Forest account. Please note that sometimes the version number doesn’t change in your Envato (Theme Forest) account but the updated files are in the link.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #1053245

We bought sever enfold themes from themeForrest but when we log in there to download the update it only shows version 3xxx

    #1053246

The latest download we see in our account is from 2014

    #1053277

    Hi,
Please try downloading the file and look for the style.css, in the top of the file is the version number.
Theme Forest sometimes doesn’t update the text of the link, but the file that is linked is actually the updated file.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
@Anouk Thank you for the FTP access, I renamed your current theme to “enfold-old” then I uploaded the new “enfold” and checked that your site is working correctly.
Please note that we have a new option to choose the default WordPress editor, either the new “Block” editor, or the “Classic” editor:
    2019-01-14-064632
The setting is at the bottom of the option page.

    Best regards,

    Hello Mike,

I send you the FTP access twice ( in the private mode) but I haven’t got an answer.
Please, could you revise my case, plis?

    thanks

    #1053735

    hello,
I just installed a DISABLE GUTENBERG plugin and it seems it’s working fine and all the problems in the text cases are solved.

    #1053792

Thank you so much Mike! Everything works perfect again! Is it ok for you to change the enfold-old into enfold? As mentioned below? It would be great if you can do this because I don’t know what to do. I changed my password, see private content.

    Hi,
@Anouk, Glad to hear that your site is working correctly, I was not able to login to your DirectAdmin, but I had created a FTP account because I didn’t want to use http file transfer when updating your site.
So I have removed the “enfold-old” directory, the only thing left to do is to remove the FTP account in your DirectAdmin, please try to do this, otherwise check the DirectAdmin password. Thank you.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #1053930

    Hi,
@seaside-cottage I have just found out that the option to “not show the featured image on the post”
has been removed by the WordPress Block editor, our dev team is working on restoring it. Meanwhile if you use the option in the Enfold theme options to use the “classic editor” you will find the option in place.
Sorry for the confusion, I had the classic editor on when I checked the option.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #1054086

    Hi Mike,

Would you please remove the FTP account in my DirectAdmin? I changed my password, see private content. Thanks a million!

    Hi @Anouk,
    Ok, all set :)

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #1054630

    Hi Mike,
I’m trying to hide the featured image in the post but I can not find the option. I have tried to do it since the classic edition but I can not access it.
    How can I do it?

    #1054880

    Hi @adrianrem89,
Please use the theme option to use the classic editor at: Enfold Theme Options > Select Your Editor
    2019-01-14-064632
then you should see the feature image option:
    2019-01-13-165504
this option is not available with the block editor.
Also ensure you are using Enfold v4.5.2
If this doesn’t help, please include a admin login in the private content area so we can take a look.

    Best regards,
    Mike
