    with me the Thumbnails are too big in the Sidabr definitively and too much text also also appears to the pictures how can I change this?

    you can adjust the thumbnail size in functions.php. Search for following line:

    $k_option['custom']['imgSize']['S'] = array('width'=>70, 'height'=>50);

    and adjust the width and height values as you like. Maybe you need to regenerate the thumbnails – this plugin can help you:

    thanks for this :)

    and how can I shorten the text?

    on my homepage only the complete contributions always appear, unfortunately, the “read more” order does not seem to function.

    Firstly your link points to a WP site but this isn’t using the Habitat theme so I can’t check why the Read More link isn’t working.

    Secondly, the content on the front page displays the_content() from your WordPress posts. You can use the “more tag” which should look like this in HTML view:

    You can manually define how much content shows up on the front page and in archive views by manipulating this to put the tag where you want the content to cut off. You can find more information on this in the codex:

    now you can look it in the Sidebar with the “last news” appears to the picture simply too much text

    you must change the excerpt length to correct this. Open up functions.php and add following code at the very bottom:

    function new_excerpt_length($length) {
    return 30;
    add_filter('excerpt_length', 'new_excerpt_length');

    Adjust the value of 30 as you like (lower value means less text).
