You can now order variations by typing them into the variations tab box in order separated by a | character. See this post at woocommerce forums

You can not do this in the Abundance theme because the cool interface uses little boxes with the variation names. These revert to alphabetical order when saved. I tried adding | between them it did not allow it. Can this be fixed? Variation order is a big deal. Seems to be a case where cool interface is a hindrance not a benefit.

Right now my variations in the drop down on the single product page appear as

XX-large (Purchase code hidden if logged out) /

Hi no help with this? It would seem to be a fairly major bug to have the theme remove a core woocommerce functionality?

sorry for the delayed response, I was able to reproduce the problem and it’s been passed on to Kriesi.

I look forward to a fix, great support

Might I add that this didn’t happen to me earlier on – I remember the variations working fine, so either I’m doing something wrong myself or something has changed of which I’m not aware.

may be not actual anymore but I had the same problem with variation order.

The solution is, to order the variations in the attribute configuration and not in the products variation setting!

    Hey gsTom,

Thanks for adding in the help :)

I think it has been changed significantly since this was posted and your tip is the recommended way of ordering them.
