a customer complained about his media library not working. When I checked it, I found out that it is only the list view, which displays no images. The grid view works fine. After the standard procedure (deactivate every plugin and revert to standard theme) I found Replete (v. 4.3) to be the culprit.
Please see the error log below
Any ideas why? This seems to be a new bug since one of the last updates.

Thank you for using the theme.
Can I get access to the site? I would like to check the Media > Library.

Thanks for that, I see the same thing on my end. I’m guessing the problem is due to one or more plugins that you are using. Enhanced Media Library PRO, Imsanity, Media Filter or Pretty file list pro could possibly be guilty for instance?

you are guessing wrong ;-) I had deactivated all plugins (written in my OP).

Thanks for the update. I can’t see any errors on the media > library panel. Can I deactivate the theme temporarily? Please create a site backup or a restore point.

sorry for the late answer, we had a huge website launch for another customer that took all my attention.
What do you mean you don’t see any errors? Do you mean JS errors? But you do see the non-existent list view of the media library, right?
Looking at the site again I just realized, that something similar is happening at pages, only one of 24 pages is listed. Deactivating all plugins doesn’t help, switching to Twenty Seventeen does. Strange, right?
I know that our customer is working on the site right now, so I will have to clone it for you for testing purposes. Will report back when I’m done.November 8, 2018 at 4:14 pm #1031307
I created staging site that shows the same errors, you can test away there as you like.November 12, 2018 at 11:43 pm #1032784
Thanks for the update. I am still not sure what causes the issue but I narrowed it down to the theme. We may need to access your file server in order to test this further. Please post the FTP details in the private field.

yep, that’s what I found too, now we’re on the same page ;-)

The login credentials are not working. I have tried on different protocols and encryption. Please check it carefully.

I have tested the credentials and they work. Details below.

Thanks for the update. I found the issue in the admin > includes > compat.php file.
I modified it a bit:
if(empty($custom_fields) && isset($custom_fields['slideshow']))

excellent, thank you very much! Can I assume that this will be incorporated into an update, so that I can edit the code on the live site but then forget about it?
MichaelNovember 15, 2018 at 3:23 pm #1033995
Hmm, I copied over /replete/includes/admin/compat.php from the staging site to the live site, but still have that error there. Any other changes you might have made?November 15, 2018 at 3:26 pm #1033998November 16, 2018 at 7:38 am #1034312
