    Dear Support-Team,

I would like to specify the image dimensions für pics in the template. How can I do so for

    – Frontpage (incl. Featured Posts Slider)

    – Latest News Widget

    – Single Post Pictures

Thanks a lot and best regards

you can use following plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ to configure the thumbnail sizes (new setting fields on the Settings >Media option screen), Save the new thumbnail sizes and regenerate the images with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Hey Dude,

that’s not what I mean. The Image-Sizes are okay. I mean changing the code from

    img src=”xxx.jpg” title=” alt=” /

    img src=”xxx.jpg” width=’50’ height=’50’ title=” alt=” /

    Hi Job,

You can use that plugin to accomplish most of that. Some of the sizes are done via php and some via css.

If you look at the featured image size for the first post on the demo site: http://kriesi.at/themes/shoutbox/2011/03/31/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) /

The image is appended with -620×350. This is based on the theme functions which you can set with that plugin. The images will get regenerated and the size changed.

Again, not all of the various areas will accept a change in width specifically because of the layout limits. Most will accept a change in height without issue however.

    Hi Devin,

again: it’s not about rezising any pictures. The sizes are okay. It’s just abaout that:

    Hey Job,

That won’t be possible with the way the theme works without some heavy modification through the theme.

If you are looking for page loading performance, the best route to go is a caching plugin and is significantly less time involved.
