    Hello Guys,

    Currently on my website, it show’s the Site Tile first in the tab. For example, my homepage shows Site Title | Description.. The rest of my site shows Site Title | Page Title … I would like my Site Title to show 2nd instead of first.. I do not want to use a SEO plugin to accomplish this, can you please give me some kind of code or create a code to use in my header.php or functions.php to make this happen?

    Best Regards,
    Jeffrey Wilson

    Hi dontae82!

    You can modify those from the Settings of WordPress. Have you checked it there, how you can convert it?

    I just checked my wordpress settings and seen nothing that allows you to give placement to the Site and Page Titles. Can you please instruct me on how to do so? I see even Kriesi.at is setup to how I want mine, with the Site Title being 2nd. Please help

    I pretty sure I need to change something in this code in my header.php ….

    “\n\n\n<!– page title, displayed in your browser bar –>\n”;if(!empty($avia_config[‘deactivate_seo’])){$avia_page_title=wp_title(”,false);}else {$avia_page_title=get_bloginfo(‘name’).’ | ‘.(is_front_page()?get_bloginfo(‘description’):wp_title(”,false));}echo “<title>$avia_page_title</title>”;?>

    Hi,

    Please add following code to Functions.php file in Appearance > Editor

    add_filter('avf_title_tag','avia_new_title');
    function avia_new_title() {
            $title = (is_front_page()) ? get_bloginfo('description') : wp_title('', false).' | ';
            $title .= get_bloginfo('name');
    return $title;
    }

    Best regards,

    Hi,

    Sorry, thought you were using Enfold :)
    Please go to Appearance > Editor and edit header.php file and find

    $avia_page_title = get_bloginfo('name') . ' | ' . (is_home() ? get_bloginfo('description') : wp_title('', false));

    and change it to

    $avia_page_title = (is_home() ? get_bloginfo('description') : wp_title('', false)) . ' | ' . get_bloginfo('name');

    Best regards,

    Hello Guys!

    That code you gave me did the trick! One last thing, I’m seeing in Google results, my pages are having my site “tagline” along with my site name and page name. Is there a code I can use that affiliates my “tagline” only with my front page? I sure would appreciate it and remember I’m using the Replete Theme!

    Hi!

    I am afraid you are going to need to use a SEO plugins such as Yoast to apply such changes :/

    Regards,
    Yigit

    I’m sure there can be a code that directs the “description” to front page only. There are code directives that can do that. I’m not trying to use yoast, for yoast to be able to do that tells me they are using a code in the plugin does what I’m asking of. I’m sure you can figure out a code for it.

    Hi,

    Please go to Header.php file once again and find following line

    $avia_page_title = (is_home() ? get_bloginfo('description') : wp_title('', false)) . ' | ' . get_bloginfo('name');

    and change it to

            $avia_page_title = (is_home() ? get_bloginfo('description') : wp_title('', false)) . ' | ' . get_bloginfo('name');
            if(is_home()) {
                $avia_page_title = get_bloginfo('description');
            }

    Best regards,

    Hello Yigit,

    You have to remember I’m using the Replete Theme. I’m getting the Parse Error when trying to place the code above in. Here’s how my code currently looks, so you can use that to rewrite it to how your trying to describe to me.

    {$avia_page_title=wp_title(”,false);}else {$avia_page_title = (is_front_page() ? get_bloginfo(‘description’) : wp_title(”, false)) . ‘ | ‘ . get_bloginfo(‘name’);}echo “<title>$avia_page_title</title>”;?>

    Hello Yigit,

    Here’s a temporary admin login.

    Hey!

    I adjusted the code a lot, even though they all worked fine on my local installation, they did not on your website. My final solution is following

            if(is_page( 28 )) {
                $avia_page_title = get_bloginfo('description');
            }
    	else
    	{
    		$avia_page_title = get_the_title() . ' | ' . get_bloginfo('name');
    	}

    please review your website now

    Regards,
    Yigit
