I would like to have a sidebar on the right on the entrypage (the frontpage), next to the slideshow. How do I do this, what are the steps or conditions to accomplish this?

Thank you in advance for helping me out with this.

PS.: I went to the “Velvet Theme Options”, then to “Sidebar” and selected the Frontpage as a page to receive a “Widget Area”, but it still doesn’t work. As of now the Ken-Burns slideshow is set for full size, but earlier I tried making it smaller so there would be space enough for a sidebar, but without any success.

Can someone please help me out here? I am glad you were able to help the 10+ people that posted their questions after me, but I’ve been waiting now 3 hours for some help. Please, I do need some support.

Thanks for your help in advance,

sorry for the delayed response. Could you elaborate which frontpage settings you currently have? You’re requesting something that wasn’t built in for homepages – however it’s possible if you set your homepage to be your blog. If you can provide a link to your page I could check out some solutions – though I can’t guarantee anything.

Hello Chris, thank you for your reply. I see, I didn’t know I would have to set it as my blog. But of course, I would be very happy if you could check it out and see if there is something you could do or tell me to do. At the moment my Site isn’t live yet and being redirected to a “Coming Soon” page. But if you have an e-mail adress where I could send my WP-login information to, then you can see the backend and the frontend.

    Thank you,
