I am using Propulsion 4.3 (WordPress 4.9.9 | PHP 5.6.37) and am trying to get some paragraph content to display on top of the Blog Page (posts page). I know WordPress did away with this around core 4.2, but the client really wants to show an introductory paragraph at the top of the Blog page. Can anyone show me how to display this content with too much or no code hacking?

On the file, template-blog.php, I solved this by placing this code:
<?php /* Added to get the content paragraphs for the Blog page*/
$page_for_posts_id = get_option( ‘page_for_posts’ );
$page_for_posts_obj = get_post( $page_for_posts_id );
echo apply_filters( ‘the_content’, $page_for_posts_obj->post_content );
above the code that calls the loop to output the posts.
In the next update of the Propulsion theme, I think there should be a text editor box on the Theme Options right below “And where do you want to display the Blog?“, which would be for blog page content that someone would want to be above the blog list.

Glad you got it working for you! :)
The theme is quite old and is no longer available on ThemeForest. It also doesn’t support later versions of PHP.
Sorry for the lack of support, we have decided to focus on our more popular themes like Enfold.
If you need further assistance please let us know.

What is the highest level of PHP that Propulsion can support?
Can it work with PHP 7.0.x?
