When I depress the magic wand button for the Shortcode Editor the Popup window no longer appears, making it impossible to create my snippets. It used to work great. To address the problem I reinstalled my theme to no avail. Any ideas as to what to do?

    Hey jberickson!

Please try deactivating all active plugins and check if that helps. Which version of WordPress and Choices theme are you using?

    Hi Yigit,

Deactivating all the plugins didn’t help.
    I’m in WordPress 3.7.1 and Choices 1.9

    Thanks for your help.

Can you provide us the login details here? Set it as a private reply. We would like to inspect the shortcode wand. Please deactivate all plugins first because we don’t like to mess up the plugin settings.

It could be a couple of things. First I would try disabling automatic google analtyics insert from your hosting provider as that is causing an error in the WordPress admin. Not sure if its related but its one of a few errors that are popping up.

If that doesn’t work, you can try going to Dashboard>Updates and then re-installing WordPress 3.7.1 automatically and see if that repairs the second script error which is preventing the shortcodes to work.

The final thing to try is to re-install the 1.9 theme files again over FTP and make sure there are no issues on upload. It isn’t overly common but files can get corrupted or just not get uploaded correctly and a quick re-installation to overwrite the theme files can fix them.

For a quick how-to you can watch this video on updating your theme which I did for Enfold but the same steps hold true: http://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750
