    Hello Kriesi team!

    I have a question or two regarding the shop thumbnail images.

    1. is it possible to have a rollover effect on those, showcasing another image, differently specified for each product? Is there a plugin or a special piece of code that can achieve this?

    2. the “Select options” “Show details” pop up buttons on variable products shop thumbnails right now are actually doing the same thing: linking to the relevant single product page.

    Is it possible to keep just one button (the “show details” one)

    change the first one and make it say “add to cart” just like it happens with simple products?

    Counting on your help and expertise as always!

    Hi Bill,

    1) Unfortunately not in a way that I can think of without writing something completely custom.

    2) Variable products are unable to have be added directly to the cart so the secondary button is there to give the user another option that indicates they are interested in purchasing. Its just a different way of thinking to make sure no user feels that they don’t have a choice.

    On a basic level you could just remove the button from view, by adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

    #top div .thumbnail_container .add_to_cart_button.product_type_variable {
    display: none;

    thank you very much for your help devin!

    Glad I could help where possible :)
