I have ShareThis plugin loaded to my site, http://www.curatorial.me. I want to change the code for the current buttons and the sharethis site has generated new code. I have searched the site, but I am not sure where this new code actually goes. Can you enlighten me? Currently, the sharethis icons appear on posts as well as on the frontpage. I prefer these to the likes and tweets you have on the site. When you like a post it just is for the user only. I prefer being able to share on my own timeline or on others.

Any insight on where this goes would be helpful. BTW, your support is great. You have helped with many questions for me.

    The instructions say:

    1. Copy the span tags and place them where you want your buttons to appear in the code.

(This style is the most adaptable to any type of page design. We strongly recommend that you place them towards top of the page.)

    <span class=’st_sharethis’ displayText=’ShareThis’></span>

    <span class=’st_facebook’ displayText=’Facebook’></span>

    <span class=’st_linkedin’ displayText=’LinkedIn’></span>

    <span class=’st_twitter’ displayText=’Tweet’></span>

    <span class=’st_email’ displayText=’Email’></span>

2.Copy the script tags and place them inside and at the end of your “head” tag.

    <script type=”text/javascript”>var switchTo5x=false;</script>

    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://w.sharethis.com/button/buttons.js”></script>

    <script type=”text/javascript”>stLight.options({publisher: ” (Purchase code hidden if logged out) “}); </script>

I got it to work. Some things are so simple and some things are hard. This was simply just adding it to the list of services in the plugin options. No code needed.

Glad that you found a solution :)

    Best regards,
