    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has any idea if it’s possible to do a “remember scroll position” when closing a portfolio item, i.e if you’ve got a lot of items and you scroll down to select one, when closed I’d like the scroll to return to that position, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Theo,

I don’t actually know if there is a workable solution for that. The scroll-up function is done by adding a javascript smooth scroll effect to a simple page anchor. In order to return down below, there would need to be a page anchor or some kind of listener to check where exactly the user is on the page when the link was clicked.

I’m guessing you’d need to create a cookie and record the viewing location into it each time a click was made but…I’m not even sure there is a function to handle that :)

If you do pursue this, be sure to report back in case anyone else is looking for something similar.

    Hi Devin,

Thanks for the reply, I’ve got a friend looking into this as we speak so I’ll post if we get anywhere.

Oh great! Yes, definitely let us know. Its an interesting idea and would be nice to see implemented.
