    We just transferred the contents of a live site using Flagship to a local installation and are depriving it of internet connections while we make changes. A number of theme and widget related settings were lost in the transition, and I have just about recreated the original state.

    One of the pieces that remains is that the Home page is now being treated as if it was one of the rest of the pages and is displaying both the page title and the search field. Is there a place in the theme where this is controlled? I tried .home .entry-title { display: none; } in the quick CSS to no effect. Since this wasn’t called for in the live site I suspect this is another piece of theme orientation I am missing.

    Hi thepowerofcolor!

    The easiest would be the css and it sounds like it just needs a bit more authority. So maybe:

     #top.home .entry-title { display: none !important; }

    Best regards,

    Hi Devin,

    That didn’t work, but when I substituted main-title it did remove it. How would you suggest I remove the search field? It is perfect on the other pages, but out of place on the Home page. Also, I am intending to relocate the navigation (hopefully some other instructions I found in the forum will solve this) to the same location and they will conflict.

    Thank you!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS as well

    .home #searchform { display: none !important; }

    This is almost perfect. It turned out that hiding .stretch_full.title_container was what I really needed to target. Is this going to cause any problems?
