Hey, I’m having two major issues with my e-commerce site ( ):

    1. Sometimes our pages are not appearing on first load, the viewer has to refresh in order to see the page. This happens the most on individual product pages.

    2. I’m adding new products to the store, and they appear on the desktop version of the site but they aren’t updating on the mobile version. I’ve cleared the cache on the site and mobile device.

Any suggestions on how I can fix these two issues?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi pwsanders,

It looks like even though you may have thought you cleared your cache it was not. The w3tc notice shows that the live site is serving cached versions from 2013-07-31 .

So fully refreshing the cache and having it rebuilt should help.

Generally, any ecommerce pages should not be cached at all. I know WP Super Cache has a way to define specific pages not to get cached and WooCommerce flags itself for WP Super Cache however I don’t know if it does the same for w3tc.

Thanks Devin, what about the question #1? That’s not a cache issue, is it?

It can also be a cache issue. Anyway, I visited the site and it loads on the first try.

Thanks for checking Ismael. But it only happens when you click on a product to see the individual product details, and its most common on mobile devices. Would you check it again on a mobile device?

    Thanks in advance,

I’m not having any issues on my end but if you can pinpoint it down to a specific device or page we can see if its a theme based issue or more to do with the caching.

Product pages were loading in without issue on ipad and mobile devices.

Hey I’ve gotten a couple of complaints from clients about this issue, and I just got it myself. Here is the link: … and I was using Mozilla Firefox (the latest version)… Again the error doesn’t happen every time, its very sporadic….

Thanks in advance for your help.

We need details to try and re-create the same bug. Pages can fail to load for an infinite number of reasons and require a refresh including: server timeout, server strain/load, browser getting interrupted externally, clicking too fast before a page is full loaded.

Its unfortunately too broad of an issue to even guess what might *sometimes* be causing an interruption in the page loading.
