    Hello there,
we have the problem that on all the new posts we create that the post image is cropped incorrectly.
On every new post, the top and bottom half of the post images are always cut off.
Here you can see the image:
Here you can see how it is supposed to look like:
    We already tried to:
    – reupload the image
    – changing the size of the image
    – using a different image

For some reason, the problem doesn’t seem to appear with some older images.
Is this a well-known problem and is there a known solution?

    Thank you in advance.

    Kind Regards

    Hey emilconsor,

    Best regards,

we are talking about the featured image and not about the gallery…

If we upload an image in a new post with ratio 1920 x 1080 px it gets displayed differently as in older posts with the same sized image.

Can you take a closer look at this.

    Hi Sebastian,

    Best regards,

    Hi Victoria,

    sadly that doesn’t fix it.
I checked the old site and there the option was checked so I don’t think this triggers the issue.
What else could force this issue?

The size of the images are exactly the same — 845x321px. (see private field)
The thumbnail used in that page is called “entry_with_sidebar”. You can adjust its size by using the Simple Image Sizes plugin.

    Best regards,

well as we were waiting one week for you to reply we figured out by our own that the older featured images were uploaded under usage of another theme and don’t get cropped to enfold standard sizes. So we reuploaded all of the older images so they get cropped and we get similar featured images.

Thank you for letting us know – we appreciate it.
