    {Sorry if this has been asked and answered before–I couldn’t find a search bar for Flashlight.}

    I have 12 portfolios, each with more than 40 images. When I upload new photos to these portfolio galleries now and try to reorganize them by clicking and dragging, the new images zoom down to the bottom and I can’t move them into their proper position. It also can takes several clicks to drop them into a slot, as if they are sticky or something. Meanwhile, the view in the Media Library for each gallery looks very strange, with each item progressively indented, and more than half (depending on the window size) of these indented lines item have a gray tint overlaying them, as if they aren’t really there. The problem area seems to be this grayed area–trying to drag anything in or out of there causes things to race to the bottom. (I have a screen shot but can’t see a way to share it here.)

    After two years, this is a recent issue so I’m thinking that it has something to do with the latest WP update? Whatever the reason, are there any ideas about how to manage the order of images? Is there another way besides clicking and dragging in the Image Gallery? The more I try to fix the more out of whack the order is getting. So frustrating.

    I am using version 1.5.2 of Flashlight, and WP 3.8.1, and this is happening in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox browsers.

    Hi LEKelly!

    You are using a very very out of date version of the theme and one which is not compatible with WordPress 3.8. You’ll need to re-download the theme files from your downloads on ThemeForest and then update the theme so that its on the newest version.

    For a quick guide on updating your theme take a look at this video on updating the Enfold theme via FTP:

    Thanks, Devin. I didn’t realize that 3.8 wasn’t going to work with my version of the theme. The reason I didn’t update the theme previously is that I had done quite a bit of customization a few years back and to be honest don’t have great documentation on what I did–nor the time right now to spend figuring it out. Sounds like I need to make time. I viewed the video link, which was helpful. Is there some easy way to compare files to see what’s different before just overwriting them? Guess I’ll have to figure it out!

    The differences at this point are, I think, too large to try and update individually. The entire gallery system was re-written for version 2.0 and when you update a script runs to bring the old data into the new system.

    Good to know. Maybe some of the workarounds I was using are now all fixed anyway. Will do the big update tonight!
