    Hi! I’d like to disable the black hover overlay on portfolio thumbnails when linked to post, but keep the greyscale to color transition… is this possible? The icon animation can persist over there…

    Hi lagalga,

    Try to add this code on your Quick CSS or at the bottom of custom.css:

    .image_overlay_effect {
    background: none !important;

    Thanks, but i’d also like the image to recover the color on hover… not to keep the greyscale effect. I mean: the image link to post and the grey overlay dissapears on hover showing the color image. Can I get that?

    Try to add following code to css/custom.css:

    .filtered-image {
    display: none !important;

    Best regards,

    This code erase the whole greyscale effect…

    I want this:

    Portfolio thumbnail with greyscale effect:

    Portfolio thumbnail on hover (without greyscale effect):

    And this thumbnail links to the portfolio post…

    It’s like the “No link” behaviour when “Portfolio thumbnail with greyscale effect” applied, but with “link to post” link

    Hi lagalga,

    Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

    #top .template-portfolio-overview .image_overlay_effect {
    display: none !important;

    I think this is what you are looking for. It’ll remove the link effect but keep the color change. I also added a class selector to the css so that it will only effect portfolio overview sections. You can just remove .template-portfolio-overview from the css above if you want it sitewide.

    Thanks a lot! yes that was what i was looking for.

    Hi lagalga,

    Glad that Devin helped you. :)
