Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /homepages/39/d26967464/htdocs/danielsprafke-de/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/helpers/phpQuery.php on line 2

The website just shows the header. I cannot edit the layer sliders or make a new one. The same error would appear there.

What can I do? Please, help. Thanx

    Hey danielsprafke10,
What PHP version are you running? We saw this on March 8 and believe the minimum required PHP version is higher than 5.3. https://kriesi.at/support/topic/problems-after-installing-update/#post-757646
You could try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Thank you Mike.
I tried to update the enfolg folger, as you recommended ist. Nothing happened, still the same error.

How can I update the php version? I don’t know very much about that…

I even buried the layer slider on my index page. No effect through that also…

    Hey!

Please ask your hosting provider to help you with that.
WordPress is not supporting 5.3 at all it self, so your provider is way behind.

Ask them to procced with any updates.

Thanx, but I doubt that this is the problem.
Other websites with enfold and the same provider work well.
Until yesterday everything was allright. After having updated enfold I have those problems…

    What coul help?

    Hey!

You need to install the DOMDocument PHP extension or update your PHP version on your server. The new version uses phpQuery at several points and this library requires that PHP extension.
This is a common extension, which is a part of PHP by default. Some hosting services might disable it for some reason, but it shouldn’t be a problem for most of the cases. We are looking for ways how we could solve this, but at the moment that library and the plugin depends on this extension
Talk to your web host support about this mbregex/mb_eregi() function support on your server.

    Basilis

Good morning and thank you so far.

After having changed the php version to 5.5, 5.6, 7.0 and 7.1, I still get the same error. I have bought Layer Slider and activated the version.
I repeat that I face the problem after having updated enfold to 4.0.2…

Please, help me. The page is ma main page and I have to be online…. Thanks in advance

by the way, this is the url: http://www.danielsprafke.de
