    hi team kriesi, could not find a solution here.
    updated to wp 5.2.2 and enfold 4.5.7
    No theme options and not able to make a new site or post – with the above message.
    renamed the old enfold per ftp in enfold-old and transfered a new copy of 4.5.7 – but also no effect.
    Oh, and not able to make a new user also.

    Any ideas what else i can do, so the site is running properly?

    I can see that you updated the PHP version of the site, was that not useful? What happens if you disable all plugins?

    no, was not useful.
    Disabled all plugins.
    The plugin WPML String Translation 2.10.5.1
    caused the error, that no options were shown on the theme options page.
    Yoast SEO Version 11.8
    causes the error message “The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
    But still no new site can be brought to live. (really funny screen – and no effect if in the theme-option is set to block-editor or classic-editor – both show the same screen)
    Andy ideas how can i bring back those two very important plugins and make the site work again?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The strings or text in the theme options are not translated in the “Strings Translation” panel. For example, if you look for the text “General Styling” you’ll see that it has no translation. Please try to import the latest de_DE.po file in “Strings Translation” > .po Import section.

    The .po file is located in the wp-content > themes > enfold > lang folder.

    The plugin is disabled, because it ruins my site in the frontend and also in the backend.
    The plugin WPML String Translation 2.10.5.1 caused the error, that no options were shown on the theme options page.
    Thats why its not active right now.
    Also not active is Yoast SEO Version 11.8
    causes the error message “The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

    It occurs when i updated to 5.2.2 wp.
    What i did afterwards. Updated enfold to 4.5.7
    Reinstalled wp 5.2.2
    Renamed enfold per ftp to enfold-old
    uploades enfold 4.5.7 again
    but nothing worked.
    Still – if string translation is active – no options on theme-options page
    Still – if yoast seo is active – no new site or new post can me made and error-message like above.
    If yoast ist deactivated – close to normal screen but also no new site or new post can be made.
    And ideas what can i do next?

    Yes, we know that. It overrides the translations. Did you try the suggestion above?

    Hi Ismael, tried above but didnt work out – actually getting worse, but gave me an idea.
    Looked like somethings really wrong with the database, so i pushed back an backup and now … works fine again, everything.
    so sorry to bother you with this, but thanks anyway. really appreciate the support.
