    When do you plan upgrade for new youtube? i can’t place a video without related videos et the end.

    best regards,

    We use the embed shortcode: – as long as it doesn’t support related videos there’s a low chance that we’ll include the new feature.

    Thanks everyone. I’m still having issues. (I’ve included the code below.) I deal with images that are size 600×900 and 600×400 generally. On my main page ( everything rescales to 620×220 and I’ve changed the code. I’ve set the code to 600×900. When I choose say an image to 600×400 for example, it still crops it on the main page but when you click to the post it resizes the 600×400 image to 600×900 and stretches it while keeping the aspect ratio. Am I totally batshit crazy that I don’t seem to get this? Thanks again everyone.

    $avia_config = array(‘width’=>36, ‘height’=>36 ); // small preview pics eg sidebar news

    $avia_config = array(‘width’=>130, ‘height’=>95 ); // small images for related items

    $avia_config = array(‘width’=>460, ‘height’=>300); // medium preview pic for 2 column portfolio and small 3d slider

    $avia_config = array(‘width’=>600, ‘height’=>900); // medium preview pic for 3 column portfolio

    $avia_config = array(‘width’=>600, ‘height’=>400); // medium preview pic for 4 column portfolio

    $avia_config= array(‘width’=>600, ‘height’=>900 ); // small preview pic for feature thumbnails

    $avia_config = array(‘width’=>620, ‘height’=>200); // image for pages

    $avia_config = array(‘width’=>600, ‘height’=>900); // image for pages (slightly bigger version)

    $avia_config = array(‘width’=>600, ‘height’=>409); // big images for fullsize pages and fullsize 2D & 3D slider

    Also, you can see what I mean by clicking the link test live test. I’ll leave it up for a bit.

    I should mention that I have used your tool to regenerate all the thumbnails.

    I think this is the piece of code that should be set to either 600×400 or 600×900. Actually it should be 620×400 or 620x 900 since the page width for a single page with a sidebar next to it is 620 px, not 600:

    $avia_config = array(‘width’=>620, ‘height’=>200); // image for pages

    It’s the size for featured images when seen on a single page. The ones you have set in the 3 column and 4 column codes are for images when using a column template in the template builder.

    I think you will see the size above when you place an image as featured using the “default small” size. You will see the one that says “slightly bigger version” when you set the size as “medium”.

    You may have to scale down these dimensions (620×400, 620×900) for the columns, so that they don’t distort. The widths of the columns on a 3 column template aren’t quite proportional to those on a single page. 2 columns on a 3 column template aren’t the same page width as the page on a single page with a sidebar.

    For example on my site, I set the single page image sizes to 620 x400px, the size for the 3 column grid is 300×200 px for each column (I don’t use a 4 column grid). It seems to work ok. The exact proportional size would be 620 x400 px and 300 x 194px, but you don’t really notice those missing 6 pixels.

    I think that’s right. It’s been a while since I played with all this. Hope it helps.

    Hi Rich,

    I really appreciate the help. I see what you’re saying. And I think I have it now. Is it right to say that I can only have 1 size image on the mainpage and i can’t switch between 620×9000 andd 620×400 whenever I would like?

    Thanks again, really really appreciate it.

    I’d need Dude or Chris to confirm it but I think it works like this:

    When you set a featured image to appear on a single page or post, the Slideshow panel lets you set that image to either small, medium or fullsize. Fullsize is for fullwidth pages, not ones with sidebars, so forget that one for now.

    So you have two sizes you can change, in theory, from the defaults. The small setting (“images for pages”) and the “medium” setting (“slightly bigger version”)

    $avia_config = array(‘width’=>620, ‘height’=>200); // image for pages

    $avia_config = array(‘width’=>620, ‘height’=>350); // image for pages (slightly bigger version)

    The problem is that the small setting is the one that the blog uses, and the medium is the one the page uses (if you set it to medium). I have both mine set to 620×400, so the blog image is the same size as the image when expanded onto the single page or post. That will work fine for one of your sizes.

    It gets more complicated when you have two very different ones.

    The only way I can see around it, is to create a new class of image size. So the default one you use as horizontal (620×400) and the new one you use as vertical (620×900). So you would have two sizes for each class – one for the blog post(small) and one for the expanded page (medium).

    Or perhaps there is a way to get the blog posts to use the same image size that you set when creating the post. That might be easier.

    But I’m not sure how much work is involved in that. It means changing a few of the .php files in the theme to create a new image class for the vertical setting. So when you go into the slider panel you would have the option to choose small Horz/med Horz or small Vert/med Vert.

    You can do it (I created a new ruler class for the templates for example). You just need Dude or Chris to tell you which files you need to change.

    But as of right now, you can only really have one size. The other option is to use inserted images instead of featured ones, but I’m not sure how those will display on the blog posts.

    Good luck
