    Hey

    I found a problem with the default enfold main menu on touch devices (primary tablets).
    The problem occurs if a user has a large tablet and is seeing the version of a website without the mobile menu (the one with the three lines).

    So if there’s a menu item with children (Dropdown) it’s impossible to click on a subpage. When the user clicks on the parent item, the dropdown menu opens for a second and the the user gets redirected to the parent page. How can i fix that?

    You can see this behavior on all of your enfold demos, with a browser width of around 1000px. Try it in chrome developer tools and emulate a touch device.

    Hey Fruitcakeworb!

    This is expected behavior of all wordpress sites if you do not like the menu item to redirect when it is clicked please use a custom link with a “#”

    Hi

    But how can it be the normal behavior when its not possible to select a page from the dropdown?
    Should the user just accept that? Your trick with the # is a good idea. But what is with the desktop users?

    The right way should be: Hovering on desktop activates the dropdown; Clicking on touch devices should trigger the dropdown and another click should jump to the parent page.

    Is there no way to find out if a user has a touch device or a desktop computer?

    I fixed it, you can use this plugin that does exactly the right thing:

    Maybe that should be a thing for kriesis update list. The behavior as it is at the moment is really really not user friendly.
