    If you go to my homepage and hover the cursor over the picture a magnifying glass appears:

    Why is that?

    It is not useful and I don’t need it.

    I just started using the theme and had the same thoughts. If edit your homepage, you can see the media you’ve attached at the bottom of the screen (featured media). There is an option to apply link to the image. Just select “No Link” and that will make the magnifying glass go away.

    I wish you could do the same for the left & right arrows too, but haven’t figured that one out yet.

    Hope that helps!

    Just realized I forgot you mention you have to click on that “Show” button and the option to change the link is on the “Default Options” first tab

    Hi cpwilson2,

    I believe jwferne is correct. Give that a try and let us know if it doesn’t work out for you :)

    JWFerne is indeed correct. Thanks it would have taken me a while to find. It is well hidden, but step by step I understand the logic of all of this. Just many steps left.

    @jwferne: I wanted the arrows to go away too, and this did it: (Put it in the Quick CSS box or in custom.css)

    #top #slideshow_big .arrow_controls a{

    There are probably a more “correct” way of doing it, but I am not a code guy. Just figured if the size is zero, they are essentially gone :-).

    Happy to help… thanks Larsdaniel. I’ll give that a shot and see if it works. In theory the 0px seems like a good idea without altering the code much.

    You can also use display:none to remove elements from interacting with the page completely. So the final code would be:

    #top #slideshow_big .arrow_controls a{
