    Where can I place this code so that the like and twitter show up beneath the custom fields on the portfolio home page. I found the code in loop portfolio single. Ex. then click on any of the thumbnails. It seems to be missing underneath the custom info below the seperator. If I Then click into the portfolio item through the title link it then appears. I am trying to avoid having people click that title to go to the individual page. Thank you again.

    <div class='blog-inner-meta extralight-border'>

    <div class='post-meta-infos'>

    echo '<div class="like-count minor-meta">';
    echo avia_facebook_like($id);
    echo '</div><span class="text-sep like-count-sep">/</span>';

    echo '<span class="tweets-count minor-meta">';
    echo avia_retweet($id);
    echo '</span>';

    $cats = get_the_term_list( get_the_ID(), 'portfolio_entries',"",", ","");
    echo '<span class="text-sep tweets-count-sep">/</span><span class="blog-categories minor-meta">'.__('posted in ','avia_framework');
    echo $cats;
    echo ' </span>';

    In wp-contentthemeschoicesfunctions-choices.php search for following code.

    echo $meta;

    You can insert the code below this line.

    Best regards,

    Perfect, Two more things.

    1. The facebook button disappears when rollover.

    2. when clicking twitter it adds via @kreisi at the end of the post. How do get rid of that?

    Make sure that you have your information added into the main theme options and not Kriesi’s.

    For the Facebook issue, can you show us an example live? With how often facebook updates things and the way it pulls in content/code it could be a few different issues/solutions so its best if we can see it for your specific install.

    Ok, I didn’t have my info in yet, makes sense. Thanks.

    Facebook buttn rollover. If you click on any of the portfolios, you will see the facebook and twitter that was added beneath the text. When rolling over the facebook to like it, that disappears.

    I think Facebook changed their API, now requiring all but the most simple like buttons to be associated with an App ID number. So you would have to sign up as a developer with Facebook and register your website as a Facebook App. so that the likes become associated with an account number and a website. I think the easiest thing to do for you would be to use one of the free social media plugins or wait for an update.

    You can ofcourse generate a simple like button and just paste it into the page:

    Ok, Nick, I took out the code and activated the sharing feature from jetpack. If I use this code there echo sharing_display();

    in the functions-choices.php file, nothing show up. How do I get the sharing buttons to show up on when clicking on a portfolio. It shows up on the single portfolio page.

    Thank you for trying to figure this out.

    On this page , do you want the facebook button to show up once somewhere, or do you mean you want a facebook button for each of the portfolio items to show up below the thumbnail, each button keeping a track of likes specific to that portfolio item?

    I just re-read what you wrote and see that A on the above image is what you are looking for.

    Please open up /includes/loop-portfolio-single.php and you can paste the code for the button on line 57 which is above line 58 which looks like

    <div class='blog-inner-meta extralight-border'>

    Nick, Yeah I want it like A. The sharing buttons show up on the loop-portfolio-single.php already. It is just not showing up in the functions-choices.php file, which I thought is what controls the main portfolio page. No matter where I put the code it doesn’t seem to show up where you have A in the image. This is the last thing I need to figure out too in order to launch the new website.

    Thanks again..

    Oh yeh, the ajax page. That would be line 84 of functions-choices.php . Add the code below replacing line 84 which houses the second </div> out of four in that area.

    echo '<iframe src="'.get_permalink().'"
    scrolling="no" frameborder="0"
    style="border:none; width:450px; height:80px"></iframe></div>';

    so that your lines 82-91 look like

    echo "</div>";

    echo '<iframe src="'.get_permalink().'"
    scrolling="no" frameborder="0"
    style="border:none; width:450px; height:80px"></iframe></div>';

    echo "</div>";

    echo "</div>";

    Because its ajax, the normal facebook button won’t work , but an iframe will.

    Nick, ok, here is a link an image with what I want there.

    The like button shows up that was put in the iframe, so that’s a step in the right direction. Is there anyway to get the rest of the buttons? I don’t need the like, I am just trying to have the share this buttons that are on all the posts and portfolio stuff to show up where we just put that iframe code.

    Once again thank you, I am sure you are tired of answering this post or my questions.

    I see what you mean. Unfortunately ajax is as devious as an unfed serpent , so I am not sure how to get your godaddy thingy working. However if you are willing to change social media plugins too addthis lets say ( ), there is ready code to feed the ajax serpent. ( )

    Nick, Ok I switched to the addthis plugin, which is fine. Now how do I add the code which is in the stackoverflow website? I copied and pasted but get a bunch of errors in the php file with the syntaxs. Could you show me the code that needs to be put in? Thanks.

    I tinkered with it for a bit but haven’t used in ages. Check to make sure you have this plugin to add the Facebook data to the <html> tag. They have an excellent support center with lots of code examples, as well as reps who know more about the inner workings of that plugin and can help you best.
