Hello! I have run into a form field problem with the Comments section of my site. In the Comments area below a blog post, the labels for the fields (‘Name’ ‘Email’ etc) remain while the user is typing in their data. So the field becomes unreadable as the user-inputed text actually prints over the label. So far, I have seen this happen in Chrome 17, Firefox 1.1 (mac), Safari 5.1.2.

How can I trigger them to disappear when the user begins typing?

    I am running Abundance 1.1 —

    I’m sorry, I meant Firefox 10.1

    Hi Madecommunity,

There is an updated version of the theme available that has a number of fixes. If the updated theme files don’t fix the issue, do you have a live site I can take a look at?

    Thanks :)

Thank you so much for your help!

Yes, following your advice, I have updated to the newest version of the theme

    Version 1.2.1

But the issue still seems to be there.

Here is a page where the form field labels don’t disappear when you type (in the comments section below the post):

Could it be a jQuery issue?

Hi there — I am still having the issue, even after the update to version 1.2.1.

In the Comments section below a blog post, the form field labels don’t disappear when you click in the box to type.

    Any ideas?

Example: try to type in the “name” field below the blog post:
