    Hello,
The images of my website are actually in the serp, sometimes also before the article in which i’ve put them. The problem is that when i open those images they are shown in my website but you can’t access the article they came from. So even if you click on the image (or the title of the image) it becomes bigger but there no way to go to the article. Can you please help me? Thanks

    Hi,

How search engines index your site is not something we have control over unfortunately, what exactly are your searching for?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Thank you for the answer. The thing i’d like to know is if there is a way to connect images to article. I explain; if you open the link i gave you, you see an image of tahiti. In that page you can only click on it and see that image on fullscreen. Since this picture is in the serp (before the article it cames from) i dont link the fact that people can only see this picture and can not see the article in which this picture is located. So it wuold be nice if clicking on the pictures(or the title of the picture) the user goes to the article. Hope i explained clear enough, if i dont, please ask.

    Hi viaggiareverde,

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

yes i give you temporary access

    Hi viaggiareverde,

Where did you find this link? It is a link to a media file, like to an image, and it shows like a page.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

I find it in the serp. If you search “Tahiti” for exaple, in the serp i can find both my article and my media file. But if i click on the link to the media file it only shows me the image and not the article.
Try to search: tahiti site:viaggiareverde.it and click on “Tahiti Papeete Polinesia Francese – viaggiareverde” . You ll see only the media file. I’d like to have an internal link to my article.

    Hi,
Sorry, you can not control this, but Google has been nice enough to give a link to your site. See the “Visit Page” button in image.

I know that in google images you can find this button, but this is not exactly my problem. My problem is in the normal google search (not for images) in which there are links to my media files. If you open one of these link you go inside my website, in a page that only show the media file ( like an image of one of my posts). I cant understand why there is no way to go to the article in which that media file is located. So, Google shows links to my media files, this links make the user access only to the media file but dont allow the user to see the article it cames from.

    Hi,
True, but we can’t change how Google does this. I guess you could water mark one edge of the image with your url.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Yes its ok.. can you explain me how to add this water mark. Thank you

    #797079

    Hi,
    Here’s a free tool to use: http://www168.lunapic.com/editor/?action=watermark

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #797080

Ok thank you. But the watermark will not be clickable, right? Id like to have something that can be clicked just to make everything very easy for users

    #797082

    Hi,
    Sorry, that’s not possible :)

    Best regards,
    Mike

Ok so id like to hide this media files from the serp. I think it will be useless to have these images in the google result page. Do you know if i can hide media file from the “normal” search but leave them visible in the “images search”. Thank you

    #797087

    Hi,
Sorry, that’s not possible either. These are all in the control of Google, it’s their site, they choose what and how is displayed.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #797088

Ok i understand. Thank you for the answers.
    Best regards
