    Is there a way to fix a limit to the pictures of all posts in my blog? I need smaller pictures then is set in the theme.

    Tks in advance,

    Pedro M Pereira

    First you need to add this on your custom.css.

    #top .slideshow li img {
    width: 400px;

    Adjust the width value.

    Then open functions.php and find this code.

    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>765, 'height'=>415); // images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider

    Adjust the width to 400px too. Regenerate or reupload the images.

    Hello Ismael,

    All good expect 2 things:

    1. There´s alot of spave between the end of the picture and the title of the post. (http://digitaldiscovery.eu/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -conta/)

    2. I did this and the picture that I uploaded for that post is not completed and in the left up corner of the post.

    What should I do?

    HI Pedro ,

    I think what you may want to do then is set your image size for the featured image area to have a smaller height and remove the css that Ismael gave you above.

    We both might be a little unclear however on exactly what you are looking to achieve in the end so if you could describe it a bit further or show a screen shot to illustrate it that would be helpful.

    Ok, Im opening this one up again. I would like to post images on my “Photos” page and I am fine with using the slider but I would like the photos to display at no larger than 800×600 as I have optimized them as such. I changed the two pieces of code that Ishmael mentioned above and it looks as if there is something stopping the images from displaying in full and the slider is off to the bottom. (Something codewise if off)

    I would just like a simple way to display 10 images but I do not want them to stretch the full length of the page width. As I have some that are portrait and some landscape. Please help.

    I also would like these to be centered within the page.

    Here is a link to the current page. (Someone had troubles opening the page though earlier.)

    Hi evanhp,

    I’m not able to pull up the page at the moment but if you are just inserting images into the page via the visual editor, you can define their size using the default wordpress options. Just set the image size while inserting it into the editor or, once it has already been inserted hover over the image until you see the little icons appear over it. Select the image one to open up the dialog box.

    Once there, I believe it is the second tab at the top of that window that will allow you to define the size of the image exactly as well as scale the image down by a percentage.

    Great info thanks. Looks like I was just trying to use functions I dont need. I just inserted them using the visual editor then changed their links to pull up normally through the lightbox not using the default action that pulls them up on a new page.

    It allows for a save as function on the images, exactly what I need. Thanks for the help!

    Glad you finally fixed it.
