    Hello friends,
    could not find a solution, maybe because i don´t know the right terms, here we go:

    I want the left column (text) to overlap the right column (image). the left is for example 1/2, and the right is 3/4. I don´t want to use the layerslider.

    I have made a screenshot: https://adobe.ly/2mqx3Cs

    Hey Jakob,

    Add this to quick css:

    .-flextable .first{
        margin-left: 230px!important;
        margin-top: 50px!important;
        position: absolute!important;
        z-index: 9!important;
    }

    Best regards,

    Hi Jordan, thank you.
    that is the right direction, but causes a new problem. the left column should stay in place (nicely aligned to the left) and the right column should be wider/bigger. can I add an ID to the colorsection and .. I don´t know .. something with “float” and “z-index” for the columns classes?

    you can see the result on the live page

    I customized your advice to:

    #homehead .class-01{
    margin-left: 0px!important;
    position: absolute!important;
    z-index: 9!important;
    }

    #homehead .class-02{
    width: 75%;}

    this is one step further. but now I have to figure out, how to align the left box in the middle of the colorsection .. any advice?

    Hi,

    You can add top margin to the left box.

    hm, okay. but this is just aproximate and will change when resizing the browser .. something like 50% of colorsection height?

    Hi,

    You could use PX units to fix it in place. In the event that it shift on resize you can use media-queries to keep the desired position on all screen sizes.

    okay, that will do it this time, but it´s not perfect. thank you for your patience. further ideas are welcome but not necessary.

    THANK YOU!
