Hi, I’m totally new to WP and have spent the past three days playing with the backend of the system and the Avisio theme. I’m a photographer and liked the Avisio look and feel. I’m wondering if I may have made a mistake purchasing the theme, because I can’t seem to figure out how to do what I thought I was going to be able to do…

I thought that I’d easily be able to add 15-30 images into a gallery and place it on a page in my portfolio. For example: 30 landscape images viewable via lightbox (with thumbnails) available to clients for viewing by navigating from the home page > “PORTFOLIO” > “LANDSCAPES” > Clicking on a thumbnail and having the lightbox populate an image (with “previous” and “next” arrows on screen).

For me it would be ideal if I simply chose the images from my hard drive, uploaded them to my WP site, a plugin automatically sized and labeled them, and I simple assigned them to a gallery and page. Is this possible with Avisio and WP?

You can add items to a portfolio by using the Portfolio Items menu on the right navigation in the Admin Panel.

You’ll also need to create a blank page under the Pages menu and then go to Avisio Options>Portfolio Options and select that page from the dropdown.

    Does that help?
