    If i dont have the latest enfold theme, (running 4.2) on most sites i have, and wordpress eventually automatically
    updates to wordpress 5.0 will these sites *not* running the latest enfold theme break?

    If it will break, whats the best solution to disable the automatic updates of wordpress so that they stay on 4.9.9

    Hey Gavin,

    They won’t break, but you will likely have problems editing your pages or posts because of the new editor included in WordPress 5.

    If you disable wordpress auto-update so the version is 4.9.9 and you update the enfold to the latest current verrsion
    (4.5.1) will the site work just as normal?

    Hi,

    I can’t say for sure that everything will work exactly as it should on an individual site, but I can’t see any reasons why it shouldn’t either. If you want to play it safe then please update on a staging version first to ensure that you don’t introduce any problems on your production site.
