    My BLOG page looks like this:

    It shows the entire post. The demo site presents a post’s image and excerpt only with READ MORE button. I want that.

    How do I make it look like this?

    Thanks :)

    Oh btw… I did all this… and still not looking like the demo site

    First please choose an existing page that should house your blog content. This page will be set as the default blog overview page. Setting Up the blog page is really easy: Best practice is to first create a blank page with the name of your choice, then add that page to your main menu with the Menu Manager and after that is done open Blog settings and choose the page at the select box here.

    Hi pete. :)

    That link applies to adding posts to home page and adding a READ MORE button. That is not what I want to do…

    I thought the BLOG (assigned) page would automatically take the first section of a Post, add a READ MORE button and post that on the BLOG page like on your DEMO site.

    So are you saying the BLOG assigned page takes the ENTIRE post and posts it to the BLOG page? And does not take a snippet of the text and adds the READ MORE button? Please clarify.

    I just think i got something set up wrong. (not surprisingly!!)

    yes you need to set a read more tag to display an excerpt only. BUT you can change the code so that wp displays the excerpt automatically – so you don’t need to use the read more tag but you’ve less control over your excerpt text:

    Open template_blog.php and archive.php and change following code:

    the_content(__('Read more »','avisio'));

    OK way cool. I got it working with both methods. Thanks for your help. Great themes. I will only buy your stuff so make more so we can send you more cash!

    Glad that I could help you :)
