    I would like to add the Google+ button to the right of “Share on Facebook” at the bottom of the post page

    Any advice on how to do so.

    you can add your code to includes/author-social-box.php after following code line:

    <!-- Facebook add END -->

    I’m not sure which code is required for google plus buttons but I assume that google offers a copy/paste solution.

    OK – i added this code below <!– Facebook add END –>

    <!-- Place this tag where you want the +1 button to render -->
    <g:plusone size="small" annotation="inline"></g:plusone>

    <!-- Place this render call where appropriate -->
    <script type="text/javascript">
    (function() {
    var po = document.createElement('script'); po.type = 'text/javascript'; po.async = true;
    po.src = 'https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js';
    var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(po, s);
    <!-- +1 button END -->

    I got the code here:

    The problem is that it creates a new line (a line break) after the Share on Facebook – what can I do to keep this tag on the same line as the Share on Facebook?

    The output is controlled by google chromes js file but maybe we can use some css code to align the button properly. Can you post a link to your website?

    Here is a link to a post:

    http://www.bestinteractiveebooks.com/2011/10/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -of-shapes/

    As you can see the “Google +” button is not on the same line as the “Share on Facebook”

    Thank you for your help!

    add the following to your style.css

    .share_stuff {
    width: 700px;
    #___plusone_0 {
    margin-top: 10px !important;

    also change the right padding in your style.css through

    #top .fb_share{

    Where is the author-social-box.php file, because i don’t have it in includes folder????

    If you’re using shoutbox you can find the file in shoutboxincludes folder. You need a ftp software like filezilla to access this folder.
