Google is telling me that the “The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website’s home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website.”

I’ve put the tracking code in the Coalition theme options page, but still no luck. Google says that this code should be placed in the header section, but your write up says that you place it in the footer section. Could this be the problem?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Jon,

Make sure you are putting in the whole code snippet and not just your unique ID.

Hi Devin, I put all the java script in which is about 10 lines

You can try another plugin or adding it in manually to the footer.php file but all that field does is hook into wordpress’ own footer output and spit out whatever you’ve added in.

Also note if you are getting analytics data its installed correctly even if you are getting that error.
