Just updated on Propulsion 2.0 and bbPress 2.3.2. Now my Forum Buttons in the backend are gone:
That’s how it looks now:
Are they no longer part of bbPress? New usage or is something broken/got lost or probably any incompatibility?
Ok, I could fix it. It was a matter of the “Forum Role”. It was set to “Participant”.
For a quick fix, in Tools > Forums, you can select the checkbox for “Remap existing users to default forum roles”. If you have a lot of moderators/users, be careful. For me, it assigned all the admins to Keymaster, the moderators (bbPress used to have the role “Moderator” alongside the other WP roles) to Moderator, and everyone else to Participant.
Now, I can see the buttons and the forums in my backend again, as you can see here: https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D0879465_78664853_798608
But on the frontend those forums look very poor: http://www.planet-upcycling.de/forums/forum/faqs/
No topics, no forum overview, no replies? Any idea?
please check if propulsion is up to date. I’d recommend to download the files from themeforest.net, then unpack, upload & overwrite the forum.php file and the propulsionconfig-bbpress folder to make sure that everything (bbpress related) is up to date.
If it still doesn’t work try to delete the forum.php file – the bbpress should use the standard templates.
