    When I add a feature image to a blog post or feature article, it automatically shows the image at the top of the post or article when you click through. This is problematic because it is often a repeat of an image already in the article. Even if I remove the image from the article, it’s still problematic because the feature image within the post does not appear as a (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -image/”>full-width image or, ideally, a (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -images/” title=”Standard image in post”>standard 600 x 400 image.

    Instead, at least for blog posts, it always appears as an image at 200 pixels height, which stretches or cuts off some images. For features, it either appears that height or the full-width size. How does it determine what size it will use? I don’t mind the full-width size, or even the 200 height when it doesn’t cut off the image, but can I control which of the three formats is used?

    Also, when I visit the widgets section, the widgets for footer 2, 3, 4 and 5 are all blank. Can I customize those? I want the archive and categories to show but not pages and bookmarks. If I select only 2 or 3 footers to display in the Shoutbox theme options, then it deletes the archive and keeps the one I don’t want to show.

    I deactivated all of my plugins, but these issues still occur.

    Hey apriagui!

    You can add any widgets you want to the footer widgets sections just like you would a sidebar. The default widgets are replaced when you add in any other widget.

    The featured images on the posts and pages are controlled by the slideshow settings under the visual editor. Eg http://kriesi.at/themes/shoutbox/2003/01/14/last-post-in-line/ vs http://kriesi.at/themes/shoutbox/2010/03/07/html-styles/

    Thanks! Another question — is there a way to remove the three thumbnails beneath the main slider/rotator on the home page?

    Please add following code to Quick CSS in Shoutbox theme options

    .home .feature_thumbnails, .home .feature-slide-scrollbar { display: none; }
