    Hello
It looks like the Events Calendar recently updated and it seems I cannot get into the Events Visual Editor. There is a fatal error regarding a slideshow. We have had a slideshow on the Display Everywhere pages for years but I did delete it and that did not help. I am not sure how to find this phantom slideshow that is causing problems in Events Calendar. I wondered if you might be able to help me find where this ‘illegal slideshow’ might be so I can get rid of it or something. The error seems to point to ‘line 48’ yet I do not know how to find that. Here is the error at the bottom of the page when I try to put in a new event:

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘slideshow’ in /home/meewasinvalleyun/public_html/wp-content/themes/incarnation/includes/admin/compat.php on line 48

    Hello Victoria et al
We are using php 7.1.3 at this point.
I am quite upset about the state of our website at this point! I realize someone tried to investigate our problem but in the course of trying to fix it that someone has edited the CSS file has prevented it from executing and then left it as such. Therefore we no longer have a fully functional home page. I noticed it a few days ago and have given you guys time to sort it out but to no avail.

We have our major event of the year coming up in three weeks and DESPERATELY need our website to be fully accessible to new and old visitors. We NEED to add posts and events so people are up to date.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE find a solution for us. I know you are busy but it has been 3 weeks since I first contacted you about the problem.

Thank you ever so much for your help in this matter

PS. I had a slideshow that ran on the right hand ‘Display Everywhere’ sidebar with no problem for years. I removed it in case that was causing the issue but that did not help. Please let me know if I can place that slideshow back in the sidebar once this issue is fixed.
    Thanks again

Is someone fixing our homepage that you took down and addressing our original issue?

    Hi Trisha,

We did not do any changes on your side. You could try to use php5.6, although it is not recommended by could be a temporary solution for you. I would recommend setting up a test server and trying it there first.

If you need further assistance please let us know.
    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hello Victoria
We have paid for support until Nov 5 2017 and I must admit that I am not feeling supported in the least. We have a website that is very unfriendly to visitors and useless for us to update anything. I am not sure what is meant by ‘support’ at Kriesi but this is truly disappointing. We are going to have to pay someone to fix this issue that, in my books, should have been dealt with by you folks.
