I know The Event Calendar plugin was having problems displaying events in the calendar view with the recent wordpress security update. That is fixed by updating the plugin. However, using this theme it has the event calendar built in and not as a plugin I can update. I am using wordpress 4.7.6 and the latest security update for that caused all of my events to not be displayed in the calendar view. Is there an update to the theme coming? Not being able to display events is a huge issue.

Are you able to attempt and update of WordPress?
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonOctober 3, 2017 at 11:51 pm #859833I’m hesitant to update to 4.8 as the theme is not listed as supporting that. Only 4.6. I risked it with updating to 4.7 earlier this year. Also, on other websites it was still an issue with the event calendar for the recent 4.8 security release until I updated the event calendar plugin. Updating the plugin solved the issue on the other sites I am using it on.
Am I able to somehow use the event calendar plugin for this theme? Will that over write the existing event calendar?
October 4, 2017 at 3:49 am #859861Hi,
I believe the plugin will still work just fine. Also, if you can maybe making a staging install locally it will give you a chance to test WP 4.8 as well.
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonOctober 4, 2017 at 3:54 pm #860183I’m having this same problem with one of my sites. The monthly calendar view does not show any events even though there are events available in the list view. I’m running WP 4.8.2 and Incarnation is up-to-date. Can anyone shed any light as to what’s going on? I need to get the monthly calendar view working once again on this site. Thanks!
October 4, 2017 at 4:16 pm #860194Thanks for the advice. I tried to activate the actual The Events Calendar plugin by modern tribe and I received an error of “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.” So there is probably a conflict with the built in calendar system. I really need a solution as soon as possible as there are many events coming up and none are being displayed.
I did install the latest version of the theme and latest version of wordpress on a test server as a fresh install and still no events that I create in the backend are being shown on the front end in calendar view.
Like I mentioned before, this is a known issue with the events calendar plugin by modern tribe, which I believe is built into the theme, and the solution that worked for me, and many other people, is to update the events calendar plugin with the fix. https://theeventscalendar.com/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -5-12-3/ Unfortunately, with this theme, that solution is not possible. I really need a solution quickly as events have not been showing since the latest wordpress security version last month and I am receiving many complaints and confusion from people trying to look for upcoming events.
This was also posted regarding the issue with the events calendar plugin that may help fix this theme? https://core.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/41496
October 7, 2017 at 3:20 am #861246Any news on a resolution for this? Looks like others are having similar issues. Hopefully my links above may help. Unfortunately the website relies on the calendar for events and this is a very bad time for it not to be working.

BasilisOctober 9, 2017 at 4:43 pm #861972Thanks! Is there a time estimate window for the release for the fix so I can let visitors know? I have just been receiving alot of emails about this from visitors to the site so giving a time estimate will help with replies.
October 9, 2017 at 5:01 pm #861984Thanks for the update and I look forward to the release of the fix!
October 9, 2017 at 6:25 pm #862029Hi,
Unfortunately, we can’t guaranteed a time frame on the release of the update and fix as there are a lot of issues being addressed. It would be best to either await notification or continue to check in here periodically.

Jordan ShannonOctober 10, 2018 at 2:20 am #1019706HI I am having trouble with my events with the Events Calendar Pro. I am being told by Modern Tribe support “custom overrides of the Incarnation theme is causing problems”. My event calendar is all out of whack. Im not a developer so please share in a way I can share with someone who can help me. Ive had to make my calendar hidden from view of the public for now .
October 13, 2018 at 5:05 pm #1021067Hi,
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do right now, until the release that cover those fixes is out.
Best regards,
BasilisOctober 13, 2018 at 5:07 pm #1021068Can you give me an estimated “ETA” on the release?
