Good Day
We are having issues with the theme that once UserPro is activated it breaks the look and feel of the site after switching to PHP 8 (this will soon be a mandatory upgrade, so we need to get the issue resolved asap).
We have deactivated other plugins so that just UserPro and the theme is active and you can see below how it looks activated and not.
UserPro Activated
UserPro Deactivated
Can you please into contact with us ASAP we just bought support.
Thank you

Could you post a link to where we can see the actual problem please? Note that our support for problems caused by third party plugins is limited.

Thank you for getting back to us. Yes we understand, it is like the chicken and the egg. We contacted UserPro as well and waiting on their feedback. We just need both to have a look at what could be causing the issue as we cannot have a situation where both parties points at the other and we sit in the end with no solution.

September 16, 2022 at 3:59 pm #1365270Hi,
Thanks for that. I activated the UserPro (5.1.0) plugin, but I can’t see any differences after doing so. Could you let us know how to reproduce the problem?
Best regards,

I just checked and the plugin is not activated? So what did you check?
I’ve activated it now have a look.
September 16, 2022 at 4:31 pm #1365277Hi,
It’s possible to deactivate a plugin after activating it, which is what I did :-)
Please see screenshot in private for what I’m currently seeing on your site. Could you let us know exactly how to reproduce the problem you are seeing on your end please?
Best regards,
RikardSeptember 16, 2022 at 4:36 pm #1365278Hi Rikard
Why are you deactivating the plugin?
The issue is with the plugin active the site breaks. So you need to have the plugin active to view the issue on the theme.
So I don’t understand what you are doing?
We are trying to determine where the issue lies either with the Theme or with UserPro so as to who is going to fix it.
September 16, 2022 at 4:38 pm #1365280This is how the site looks with the plugin activated. Are you not seeing it like this?
September 16, 2022 at 6:49 pm #1365288Hi,
I’m seeing the same thing in both states on my end, there’s no difference. Did you try loading the site in an incognito or private browser window?
Best regards,
RikardSeptember 17, 2022 at 7:21 am #1365307Hi Rikard
Yes it does the same in incognito. I honestly cannot believe you are seeing the same with the plugin enabled versus it being disabled. I even tested it in Firefox and it does the exact same.

Okay it seems I’ve figured it out. I logged in with the logins I provided you and with your logins the home page looks fine. It seems that with user accounts created before the upgrade are the ones giving the issue. I created your logins after doing all the plugin deactivations.
Please use my login below to compare
September 17, 2022 at 11:55 am #1365325Hi,
Thanks for that. I do see the problem when I login with the new details, but that makes absolutely no sense. Why would simply logging in with a different users yield different results on the site? Does the plugin in question alter user information in any way? Also, does the same thing happen if you activate a default WordPress theme?
Best regards,
RikardSeptember 17, 2022 at 12:59 pm #1365333Hi Rikard
Yes it is very strange, we are not quite sure why it is happening. Yes UserPro is the main user management plugin for the site. It handles everything from the registration forms, user roles, etc. It completely replaces the default WordPress user management system.
As the WordPress default theme is a design on its own I don’t know if it wil make a difference. Our main focus is figuring out if the plugin is no longer compatible with the theme or vice versa. Because someone needs to assist us in figuring out the issue and fixing it.

September 17, 2022 at 1:52 pm #1365338Hi,
The first thing you should probably test is if the same problem happens when a default WordPress theme is active. If it does, then it means that it’s very likely not theme related.
Also please try to create a different user with the same settings, and check if the same problem happens then.
Debugging a third party plugin problem which only happens with some user, would unfortunately be out of scope of our support.

Thank you it seems the problem goes deeper than just the theme. We tested some more and we noticed WordPress errors on the backend admin under user management as well. And those errors goes away when we disabled UserPro, so it is not just related to the theme and I believe UserPro is the main issue here.
Thank you for checking we appreciate it.
Kind Regards
