I’m trying to embed video’s from Vimeo in my portfolio items. HD video’s play just fine but 4:3 video’s appears pillarboxed. I use <iframe> method with fixed height and wight. I noticed that embedding on usual page (not portfolio) works well – video appears without black bars left and right but in portfolio items the same <iframe> script has no effect. Is there any way to fix it?
Thank you in advance.

No, not that I know of. Its the same thing in the demo which I believe is a result of the way they are set to load into the portfolio.

There is another problem with playing video’s – I need to show two video’s one after another in the portfolio item. When first video is playing and I click on the ‘next’ button the next video appears but the previous one is still playing on the background, I can hear the sound. I need to go back, to stop the first video and then to go to the next video. I don’t think it’s the way it should be. I really really hope it can be fixed…July 8, 2013 at 2:04 pm #128217
This has been an issue with videos in slideshows for quite some time. We discussed some possible fixes for it a short time ago but I don’t think anything has been implemented in a theme update. As far as I know the issue is still that the user needs to stop the video content as the theme code doesn’t have control over the content once it starts playing.
I’ll tag the head of support to see if he knows of any update on it or fix.July 10, 2013 at 9:07 am #128218
I have another question (in a case there will be no solution for playing one video after another) – would it be possible to put two video’s on one page, one under another in portfolio item?
I hope you can come up with the solution for playing two video’s in portfolio – I really really need it.

Are you using Angular 1.6.5? I thought I remembered Kriesi implementing a fix but wasn’t completely sure as I didn’t see it mentioned specifically in the version.txt for the theme.
If you aren’t on 1.6.5, re-download the theme files from theme forest from your downloads and install the theme just like you did the first time to upgrade your files.

I’m using the latest version of Angular – purchased it couple of weeks ago. At this moment the problem seems to be fixed on Firefox (don’t know why – I didn’t do anything to fix it) but not on Safari. My Safari is updated. Didn’t check other browsers yet. Any idea’s how to fix it for Safari?
I have one more question: is there any way to get rid of “share” and “embed” buttons during the video playback? These buttons come just under “next” and “previous” arrows, it looks like a mistake. You can see it here: http://animation.anyashapira.com/portfolio-item/mood-journey/

Those are part of the vimeo player. If they can be disabled, it would be from the settings for the video on vimeo itself.July 15, 2013 at 10:57 pm #128222
And what about my previous question – two video’s one after another, when the first one is still playing on the background after the next one clicked. It’s still a problem on Safari. Just to remind – similar problem was solved here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -background-after-closing-preview
It would be nice to get some some clear answers. I think it’s pretty clear what I need to know – is it possible at all to have embedded video playing properly on this theme. If it is possible to fix the playback – I really would like to know how. If playing video on this theme is an issue – I would like to know it as well. Sorry for being so straightforward – I really need to finish my website but I’m stuck because video doesn’t play properly…
