    I would like to decrease the padding below the portfolio excerpts on the frontpage to bring content row below up higher. Can I do this in theme options Custom CSS or do I need to go into the editor?

    I would also like to reduce the excerpt from default of 55 to 30. I know I can set the exact length of excerpt in the portfolio item but want frontpage to only show 30 regardless of length in excerpt field. I won’t always be the one entering text and want rows to line up, even with less than 30 words.

    Hi idina,

    Can we take a look at your site live. The home page portfolio css may need to be specific to your setup so that it doesn’t effect other elements on the site.

    For the excerpt, do you mean 30 words? You can try adding something like this function to your functions.php:

    add_filter('excerpt_length', 'kp_shorter_excerpt_length');
    function kp_shorter_excerpt_length($length) {
    return 30; }

    I have fixed the excerpt but I really want to reduce the padding on the home page between the featured articles and horizontal line below. I am building a testing site only at this point for

    I would also like to get rid of the read more to further reduce the white space beneath the Lastest Articles

    Hi idina,

    Can you post a link to your site? so we can give you a specific css snippet. :)
