Sorry to bring this up again: (Purchase code hidden if logged out)(Purchase code hidden if logged out)

But I had an additional request. This menu that we “faked” the selection for, now needs a submenu. But because of “faking” the active state on a portfolio item in the main nav, it now has everything else as active in the submenu.

For example WORK > RETAIL – all is good here with the active states.

But then if I click on a thumbnail within the RETAIL PAGE (so WORK > RETAIL > PROJECT) and I go up to the main nav, the sub menu is alllll messed up / all active. Is there a way to make sure that only RETAIL is active?

I can create a login if it’s easier to see?

Or here is a screen shot:

So I got it so far…I think.

I just made each menu-item (like in previous thread) like this:

    body.single-portfolio .main_menu ul li#menu-item-637 a {

    border-bottom: 0px

But now, I need to figure out how to make that one subhead active…so for example WORK > RETAIL both need to be active…

    BUMP again please…

Also, I can send the login info for the site since right now I have it that it’s set as under construction. You can only view when logged in…

    Hi wildefranz,

Sorry about the delay, bumping a post actually pushes the post further back in our Queue as our view is sorted by oldest post in a topic.

We’ll definitely need to take a look at what you have now and see if we can get things working correctly. If you can create a temporary admin account we’ll see what can be done.

You can send the information to my email at DevinVinson (at) Make sure to include a link to this topic so that my spam filter doesn’t grab it :)

Oh sorry, I was told it would help…

I’ve sent an email with the temp login. I appreciate it!!

I suppose each of us has different patterns in how we check for posts to respond to outside of the norm so I’m sorry if I’ve given contrary instruction on self bumps to what another support member has given :)

As for the issue, I tried every way I can think of to get the sub menu item still highlighted while on the individual portfolio page but without some kind of tag for each portfolio category in the code I can’t seem to find a way to do it.

Down that road, because of the way the posts are done within custom post types, I’m not sure about how (or if its possible) to add in php to the portfolio templates to add a category class.

I’ll check with the other support crew to see if anyone has an idea but I’m at a loss for a solution.

Just wondering if by any chance someone was able to look at this? *fingers crossed*

    Hi wildefranz,

Afraid I’m in the same boat as Devin with this. The only way possible I see is including PHP into the template. That said, I wouldn’t know exactly what to add so as not mess with other functionality.
