I’m coding some tab widgets for my own purpose. So, I would like to know what is the “function” of the CSS classes tab_initial_open ? I’m still wondering what they mean and how I can use them to build my widget… Thank you very much for your help.

    Hey Wawan66!

The “tab_initial_open” class thells our accordion/tab script (shoutbox/js/avia.js) that the tab should be open by default when the user loads the page. All other tabs (without this class) will be closed and the user must click on the toggle bar to open/view them.

    Best regards,

Thank you for your answer. However, when the tab_initial_open class is used, it’s followed by another one (e.g tab_initial_open__1 for the first tab). Why do we need both classes ? Is the class tab_initial_open__1 not enough to tell the script which tab must be opened first when the page is loaded ?

My guess is that Kriesi used it at some point for an effect or secondary function where the same class name wasn’t good enough. So not really a specific function but more its just there and will be echoed into the classes along with the other selectors.

Ok, I understand this point of view. Thank you for your help. I succeeded in creating a tab widget for this theme and it works fine.

    Best regards,
