I am setting up a page with three columns, but when I run it, the first column shows up properly, but then the second column begins one line down, while the third column begins one more line down.

    See it for yourself at

The page code looks like this:

‘orem dictum felis eu pede mollis pretium. Integer tincidunt. Cras dapibus. Vivamus elementum semper nisi. Aenean vulputate eleifend tellus. Aenean leo ligula, porttitor eu, consequat vitae

    [one_third first]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Australia[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Canada[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]China[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Cuba[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Egypt[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]France (Paris)[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Gibraltar[/ilink][/one_third]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]India[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Kenya[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Morocco[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]New Zealand[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Poland[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Romania[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Russia[/ilink][/one_third]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Singapore[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Spain[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]Sweden[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]United Kingdom[/ilink]

    [ilink url=”” icon=””]United States[/ilink][/one_third]’

When I look at the HTML code, I don’t see any other tags that could cause this.

    Any help is appreciated.

wp often adds paragraph tags between the lines. Try following code instead:

    [one_third first]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Australia[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Canada[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]China[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Cuba[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Egypt[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]France (Paris)[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Gibraltar[/ilink][/one_third] [one_third]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]India[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Kenya[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Morocco[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]New Zealand[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Poland[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Romania[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Russia[/ilink][/one_third] [one_third]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Singapore[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Spain[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]Sweden[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]United Kingdom[/ilink]
    [ilink url="" icon=""]United States[/ilink][/one_third]'

Based on your advice, all I did was make sure that the new [One Third] is on the same line as the last [/One Third]

    Everything lines up properly.

    Thanks for your help!

Glad that I could help you :)

I am having the same issue with list items. Any suggestion as to how I remedy this? The link is:

    My code is:

<h4>Possible risks of thigh lift surgery include:</h4>

    [one_third first]

    • Unfavorable scarring
    • Bleeding (hematoma)
    • Infection
    • Fluid accumulation
    • Poor wound healing
    • Skin loss
    • Blood clots
    • Numbness or other changes in skin sensation
    • [/one_third]

    • Anesthesia risks
    • Skin discoloration and/or swelling
    • Fatty tissue found deep in the skin might die (fat necrosis)
    • Major wound separation
    • Asymmetry
    • Pain, which may persist
    • Unsatisfactory results such as highly visible surgical scar location, unacceptable visible deformities, bunching and rippling in the skin near the suture lines or at the ends of the incisions

    • Deep vein thrombosis, cardiac and pulmonary complications
    • Recurrent looseness of skin
    • Sutures may spontaneously surface through the skin, become visible or produce irritation that require removal
    • Possibility of revisional surgery

Also, there are other pages where I can’t seem to get rid of odd spacing. Using firebug – I can see that WP has added extra <p> tags, but I can’t seem to figure out a way around it. You can see what I am talking about on our about us page under the different locations. The addresses appear a HUGE line down form the picture. Here’s the link:

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    try to write:

    in the same line like:

    [/one_third] [one_third]

WP won’t add paragraph tags then.

Perfect. How simple is that? It is strange that it doesn’t do it all of the time. For example I also use a [one_fourth] shortcode up top within another div and it works perfectly every time…but the one_half and one_third do not….is it the preceding headline tags ya think? Go figure. Thanks for your help!
