Hi folks, i’m trying to enable a chinese version of my site but am having some difficulty setting up. Can’t seem to find the answer on the forum here either. My demo site is in the link. I have also purchased WPML for the purpose. I’m not quite sure how to go about enabling the chinese translation on the site. Is there a .mo file within Enfold I should know about? Thank you in advance.

    Hi Jon!

According to this site – http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ your website is currently down. Please make sure that you have posted the correct link.
Please refer to WPML documentation here – https://wpml.org/documentation/faq/#more-5845

    Best regards,

    Hi there,

Apologies, the server was undergoing maintenance hence the site was down for awhile. I’m having some trouble understanding how Enfold works with the translation in WPML. I’ve installed the plugin, set the languages I would like displayed, but when clicking on the Chinese icon, it leads me to a separate front page. Am I supposed to create a new page for only Chinese text? Apologies, but the FAQ doesn’t seem to address that when I go into string translations.

Does Enfold come with a chinese (simplified) .mo file?

    Hey!

Yes, you’d need to create a Chinese version of the homepage – http://a.pomf.se/gdrehy.png, and yes, there is a zh_CN translation file included in /lang/.

    Best regards,
    Josue

Hi Josue, thank you very much for your help. I’ve set up WPML and created the chinese pages. Thanks again!
