    Hi,

    There doesn’t seem to be an option to change the background colours and fonts for the menus. Please can you tell me if it’s possible? If not, what are the quick CSS codes?

    For sub-menus too please.

    Thanks

    Hey jossfrimond,

    Could you please give us a link to your website, we need more context to be able to help you.

    Could you please attach a mockup of what you’re trying to achieve?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi Victoria

    Sure. You can see two columns in the menu enclosed. Both are white. I’d like to change their colours.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Thanks for the screenshot, if you are looking to change the background of the sub level menu links then you can set that under Enfold->Advanced Styling. Look for the Main Menu sublevel Links. If that doesn’t work then please post a link to where we can see the actual elements and we’ll give you some custom CSS to try out.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

    I don’t have Enfold, I have Coherence. Would it be better if I change to Enfold?

    Yes, we highly recommend that you convert to Enfold because Coherence is a little bit outdated. You’ll get more options with Enfold and will no longer need the visual builder because the theme has its own advance layout builder.

    Regarding the original question, you should be able to change the font color inside the theme’s General Styling panel.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael

    OK, I understand that I paid for Coherence, and now I am told that it is outdated and I should convert to Enfold.

    5 questions:

    1. I hope I won’t have to pay for Enfold please?
    2. How do I do the conversion?
    3. Will it affect my website under Coherence in any way?
    4. I want to change the font colour, but also the menu and sub-menu BACKGROUND, so how is this done?
    5. Can the above not be done in CSS?

    Thanks

    Joss

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update.

    1-2.) Unfortunately, we don’t handle sales or refunds here so you have to contact Themeforest and ask them if you can convert Coherence to another theme.

    3.) Yes, it will affect the site and you may need to start from scratch because Enfold is a completely different theme from Coherence but it much better and more advanced, so you will still probably save more time on development.

    4-5.) You can change those elements in the Coherence > Styling panel. Adjust the “Header and Socket background color”, “Primary color” and “Body Font color” or you can use the following css codes on the Quick CSS field.

    #top .main_menu .menu ul li a {
        background-color: red;
        color: blue;
    }

    Adjust the color value as needed.

    TIP: Check the creation date of the theme and when it was last updated before deciding whether to use them or not. The Coherence theme was published on May 2, 2012 so that’s more than 6 years, and it was last updated on 2016.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    ok thank you, that works fine!

    Another question – on the blog page, it shows the full length article instead of excerpts with a photo. How can I tidy up that page please?

    Thanks

    #1009127

    Hi,

    That is the default layout of the blog page so you have to edit one of the theme files or install a plugin to display the excerpt. We installed the Advanced Excerpt plugin. (see private field)
