    Hi again

    I use a childtheme, so please advise me if I shall do the changes in the child custom. css or the child style.css

    Will any of the below changes have an effect on the “time it takes to download the webpage” so that it will have an negativ effect for mobile users.

    I would like to know how I can..

    1) Change colors of the line under the main menu when there is a drop down menu. this line is always the same color as the main header.

    2) change color and size of the main header

    3) change all colored boxes in shop part( default the same as the “primary color”)

    4) is there a way to change (color/font) for each part of the default “Primary color”

    (Choose a font color for links, dropcaps and a few other elements) if so how do I find each of these.

    5) why is there a “cart-link” both at the top leftside and the top right hand side of the header and how can I remove the link from the top left handside?

    6) how to change the color of the shortcode dividers ( hr top)

    7) how to change the language for all words that are missing in the translation into swedish, as you can see on my webpage most of the words are allready translated, but some are missing (ex: hr top, search site, this entry has..) I used the swedish translation file that have been done for abundance-theme.

    thank you

    / John

    adding stuff to the Quick CSS/Custom.css will always increase the loading time a little – but we’re talking about 1kb or so.

    1) In your custom.css add

    div .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current-menu-item > a, div .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current_page_item > a{border-bottom-color:#ff0099;}

    2) Are you referring to page titles? Please specify.

    3) ..

    You’re asking for a lot here. You can use FireFox and a plugin like FireBug. With this plugin you can right click elements and inspect them. This way you can check what CSS they’re using and then copy-paste and modify this in your custom.css

    5) Add this to your custom.css

    .sub_menu .shopping_cart_link{display:none;}

    6) Again, the styling of this can be found with FireBug and then modified with the custom.css.

    7) Most of these are listed in the lang files in your lang folder. (such as this entry has)

    In the language file you’ve added there should be a line

    msgid "this entry has"
    msgstr ""

    put your translation between the marks of msgstr.

    Hr top can be found in

    a.addImmediate(c, "Horizontal Rule with top link", "<br>[hr top] <br>");

    Search site can be found in

    themespropulsion_1searchform.php - 1 match
    4 <input type="text" id="s" name="s" value="search site"/>

    Note that you can add these things to your language file using the same logic as used in your language file.

    thanks for all the answers!!

    I will start to try to imliment them.

    2) I mean the top of the wbpage were the shop info is ( log in , cart, check out, cart 0SEK)

    8) one more thing..

    with the translation into swedish there is a space missing between the translated words and the actual pagetitel (category name etc)

    Arkiv för:Kinesiologi

    (archive for:kinesiologi)

    there should be a space between the (:) and (kinesiologi)

    Do you have any idee why this is?

    thanks again for all your help… I couldnt do this with out you all!

    / John

    2) In your Quick CSS or custom.css add

    #shop_header{background:#ff0099; height:40px;}

    8) I don’t have any of the user-created lang files myself. Have you tried just adding a space in the translation? It might just be a mistake (don’t touch the original line) If that doesn’t work you can try ascii codes like

    ^for a space.

    1/ I tried to add the code both in quick CSS and in customeCSS in my child theme, I even added ( !important; ) but it does not work, it still has the same color as the shop header

    new Q/ it seems that changes ( other than the above nr 1) done in quik CSS works but not in the child custome CSS, do you have any idee why this is….. should I try to reload a fresh custom CSS?

    1) I think the problem is that the child theme css is loaded first. It will not overwrite the other rules. Maybe it’s better to use css/custom.css instead.

    2) Try to change the background color with following code:

    background:#ff0099 !important;

    I can not get this code to work

    “div .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current-menu-item > a, div .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current_page_item > a{border-bottom-color:#ff0099;}”

    / John

    Try to add !important like:

    div .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current-menu-item > a, div .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current_page_item > a{border-bottom-color:#ff0099  !important;}

    I think we have missunderstod each other,

    this code

    “div .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current-menu-item > a, div .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current_page_item > a{border-bottom-color:#ff0099;}”

    gives me a line under the “Parent menu item” that I have choosen (only in the parent menu – but not in the ones below)

    But I wouild like to be able to change the line that shows up when I hover over a parent menu, ex: PRIVATPERSONER

    as you can see it now has a yellow color.

    It looks like you’ve solved this one, am I correct?
