I would like to change the main content area for both the main blog page & single posts to take up the full 930px width, while the sidebar is not shown. What is the best way to accomplish this?

For the blog page you can use the Template Builder, create a new template then choose Full width. Insert the blog element, after that apply the template to your Blog page.
For the single post you can open single.php and find this code
Then find this code
<div class='content units <?php echo $avia_config['content_class']; ?>'>
Replace it with
<div class='content units twelve'>
Then go to includes > format-standard.php and find this code
<div class="seven units entry-content">
Change it to
<div class="twelve units entry-content">

Ishmael, that worked very well for the single post. Unfortunately, I am now getting some strange formatting when the category archive page displays. I’m not sure if this is related to your changes above or not. After the first two posts are displayed in the loop, the remaining posts do not seem to have the same container attributes, and the post-titles are all much larger than the post-titles of the first two entries. You can see an example here:

The changes above shouldn’t affect the formatting in category, I have tested it and it doesn’t affect category. Try to undo the steps you made and check the category page again and check if the strange formatting is gone.

I made the changes mentioned above and created an appropriate dynamic template for a “blog” page with the full-width setting. However, when I put a blog section into the dynamic template, it still adds a sidebar. How can I avoid/remove this? Thank you.January 31, 2013 at 12:02 am #102835February 13, 2013 at 12:36 am #102836
Thank you both for your help. Here is the link to the blog page:

Try to open wp-content/themes/angular/template-blog.php and find this code (line 63):
and replace it with:

Thank you for the suggestion, but that did not work.
One way I have found to make the blog full-width is to create a page (named “Blog”) & designate this page for the blog in the theme options. However, I would like to remove the page title “Blog” (with it’s divider) from this page.
Is there a way to accomplish that?
